Has it Been awhile since you’ve hit the open water? Wanting to get back in to diving? Heading out for a dive vacation? An Inactive Diver/ refresher is a great way to brush up on your skills. If it has been over 12 months since your last dive, a refresher is highly recommended. A lot of resorts will ask to see your c-card and your logbook and may insist on a refresher if you haven’t dove in the last 12 months.
Who this course is for:
- The certified diver who has been inactive for a period of time and wishes to review the scuba skills and academic information before starting to dive again
Course prerequisites:
To participate in the SDI Inactive Diver/Refresher Course, the individual must:
- Have proof of an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent
SDI Inactive Diver/Refresher Diver minimum requirements:
- Complete all open water requirements efficiently and comfortably
- Demonstrate mature and sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution
Please remember, a refresher is only that, a refresher. If we have to “reteach” you all the skills, that is tough to do in a 1-2 hour pool session. If you need more work ask about doing an Open Water Course Audit.
Course length: 1-2 hours
